WHAT WE DO

Four years ago, NHQ was founded on ideas about THE FUTURE. Prior to incorporation, we were completely IRL (In Real Life) creatives who experimented with websites and social networks with the primary goal of promoting our own productions, which were mostly live events (music, performance, social actions) and magazine publications.

Back then, reaching wider audiences (scaling up) was strictly dependent on one's connections to the Big Media Industry, which, for us, were null. And anyway, we suspected the big media industrialists Did Not Get It (the future, the Internets). We began to sense the coming disruption of so much industry. We realized that building a web-integrated media company would serve our original design: to promote the Real Life with high-value social interaction via cultural production. Cue DIGITAL CONTENT.

So we hung a shingle, told people we'd make them websites, or use the Internet to promote their gig. We made a little business out of it. But what we were really doing was learning the technology, from the front to back, and behind the screen altogether. And we started focusing the majority of our creative energy into the digital realm--an essential adaptation. We started making videos.

We spent the better part of the last two years learing how to turn the Internet inside-out. We forged many new collaborations and friendships along the way. And our creative output evolved yet again. It's no longer just about websites'n'videos. We now produce:

COLLABORATIVE WEB MEDIA

(video, text, software)

TOOLS FOR NETWORK INTEGRATION

(pub/sub, social, search and SEO)

We're finally ready to begin scaling. We're currently working on building professional networks to complement our productions, and an entire content network system to help us publish, distribute and monetize. It's not only for ourselves. The tools we build are designed for independent producers everywhere, designed to help connect and grow us all. To learn more, visit our PROJECTS page.
