COMING SOON: Garden Apartment
We’ve got a new video in the works! Queer and sensual, conceived and created by the inextinguishable flame that is Gretta Johnson. It’s called GARDEN APARTMENT, a glimpse into the physical and psychological space of a strange and mysterious garden-dwelling creature, a “sluggy cocooned lady,” content with solitude and the companionship of her plants. She surrounds herself with collages of humans made to look like plants and plants that take on human characteristics.

Next Thursday, February 18 we are joining forces with our friends at KOKOROKOKO vintage to present a video installation in their storefront window! FOOSHED SMACES is a playful exploration of the intersection between the beautiful and the grotesque; of how easily the human face in its natural form can be manipulated by outside forces to convey unintended expressions, how the line between expression and disfigurement can be blurred by the direct interaction with an object as simple as a windowpane.
